In our Social Education class we have been working on a special Travel Buddy Project. The program involves sending a stuffed toy or animal overseas to gather information about another country.Our travel buddy is a puppet kangaroo and we have named her Skippy. We sent Skippy to Grade 5/6 at Orchard Park Elementary School in London, Ontario, Canada. In Skippy's suitcase we packed a jar of Vegemite, a passport, a photo album, toiletries, a travel diary and some clothes. We prepared these things in our class.
Our class is learning how to to use the Internet to communicate with the school, write letters and send e-mail.
