My name is Deeko. I am 13 years old and have 6 brothers and 5 sisters. I came from Somalia in 1993 and I have been in Australia for two years.

I go to Banksia Secondary College. It is a very good school, because it has the best teachers. They are Miss Parker and Miss Rozelaar.

I will tell you about myself. I have brown eyes and black hair. My favourite sport is basketball and running and my favourite word is 'cool'. I will tell you about my sister, she is always good. She loves watching 'Moesha' and she is in Year 11. She is 18 years old. She wants to be a doctor. She loves listening to music. I have two brothers in this school, one is in Year 8 and one is in Year 11 He loves studying. He always studies at school and at lunchtime and also at home and he loves listening to music.

My big sister is a teacher and she is also a happy person. She helps people who don't speak English and she always helps me.
