Information for Applicants
- Applications should be no more that 4 pages in length.
- Applications should include full name, date of birth, address, telephone numbers of both home and work, full details of experience, relevant qualifications, referees and other relevant information in support of the application.
- Referees should be able to make relevant comments regarding the applicant in relation to the key selection criteria. The college reserves the right to contact un-nominated referees
- Applicants may be required to undertake teaching duties in other curriculum areas.
- Applicants are requested to forward three copies of their applications. Applications must reach the Principal by 4.00 p.m., 25th January, 2002.
- Selection Criteria
- Demonstrate a basic of knowledge of relevant curriculum areas, student learning processes and resources, and apply it in implementing programs that enhance student learning.
- Demonstrate specific skills and experience in the teaching of English as a Second Language.
- Evidence that the applicant can successfully apply assessment and reporting strategies that take account of relationships between teaching, learning and assessment.
- Demonstrate good communication skills and professional behaviour when interacting with parents or guardians, students and colleagues.
- Evidence that the applicant can successfully participate in aspects of the wider school program. A knowledge of marketing to Overseas Full-Fee Paying Students would be an advantage.
- Demonstrate improved teaching and performance skills through critically evaluating professional practices.
