EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Job Interview Program
In June each year, the College holds its Year 10 Job Interview program. This has been underway for several years now, giving all Year 10 students the opportunity to be interviewed by personnel managers who kindly give up their time so that our students can practise their interview skills in a "real" situation.
The day is the culmination of a term's work in Social Education which includes Work Experience and the writing of Resumes and Job Applications for positions at the mythical "Ritz Resort", a 500-bed hotel and conference centre soon to open at La Trobe University (!).
Music
The College has an extensive instrumental and performance music program. Twenty-five per cent of students learn a range of instruments. Students perform in the annual musical and in concerts at school events and also around the community.
Music students attend a music camp annually at which they are immersed for three days in an intensive program of music.
Sport
There is a comprehensive sport program which is actively supported by students in Year 7-10. Recent highlights include the Year 7 Cricket team making the State Finals, winning the Inter-school athletics Section D Competition and the Year 7 and 8 Girls Soccer team making the zone finals as did the Year 8 Girls Volleyball team.
Maths Club
Our Maths Club meets once a week at lunchtime in the Maths Task Centre. Year 7 and 8 students solve problems, play Maths games, construct with Technics-Lego and utilise computer programs.
