AN OPEN LETTER TO PAULINE HANSON

by Farhia Ahmed

Dear Mrs Pauline Hanson,

Who do you think you are? Does Australian politics allow this sort of behaviour in our country? Personally, I don't like racism, but you seem to be enjoying your new job promoting it. You only employ unintelligent people with low IQ's judging from their performance on television. Have you ever been to school Mrs Hanson, because I have listened to several of your speeches which make no sense at all? Speeches in which you never back up you assertions with evidence. What are you trying to do Mrs Hanson.

I am glad to be Australian and so are most of us in Australia. We all live in this culturally diverse country which we are proud of. We all live in reality Mrs Hanson, except you, because you are trying to do the impossible by building one race. If you ask me what you are really doing, looks like you are following Adolf Hitler's footsteps, but at least Hitler was smarter than you and had a very high IQ. He could break down a whole nation and rebuild it again, but you, you can't even argue simple points. I would suggest that you just quit this so called job of yours because I would say at the end of this road, you are heading for death. But then again, what would you know, you don't even have the brain of a five year old!

Do you really think Australia is going to be peaceful forever? Things do change sometimes. Our countries were once like this, peaceful. But then things changed. It is not as if we wanted war for our country. No one wanted that, but it was impossible to avoid. But you tell me Mrs Hanson, if there is war in Australia and everyone goes back to their original country and the rest of Australia is overpowered by an enemy, where will you go to, Asia, Africa or Europe? Where exactly are you going to go? You see Mrs Hanson, my point is you will have nowhere to go, because everyone of us will remember that ugly face of yours and no country would accept you as a refugee.

Since you came into politics, you have changed a lot of things; you have insulted a lot of people. You have insulted their culture to start with. You don't seem to have a culture or special background, so you really don't have the right to complain about anyone else's background. You should understand people are all proud to be who they are. If Asian people want to keep their tradition and culture alive, what gives you the right to object to what they truly and deeply believe in? Someone like you who is ignorant and selfish doesn't know what they are talking about.

It is not only the Asians that you despise, it is also the original Australians that you are harassing all the time, telling them what to do in your typical speeches. I think the Aborigines have every right to a decent standard of living in this country and to do what ever they please, and if they want to pursue land rights they are entitled to do so. I believe no one should be told how to live their life. Mrs Hanson you can't even run your own life. You, the twice-divorced woman, is raising her children on her own, and I think the reason why your husbands left you, is be which they couldn't put up with.

When your children grow up Mrs Hanson, wouldn't you like them to have a normal life? Well at this point in time, I don't think you are leading them down the right path, because if you ask me, I think your children could be in danger and they could be a target. In other words, those who might want to kill you could instead, kill your children, all because of your extreme views.

Mrs Hanson let me introduce myself. I am an Australian lady who likes multicultural countries such as Australia. We all do our best for this beautiful country and believe me no one can do anything alone. Mrs Hanson I would like to suggest that you have crossed the line and you are going to be the one who pays the ultimate price. Our geographical neighbours support our country financially and economically by trading with us, so without Asia what would happen to our share market and Australian business? I am not saying I like Asians because they support our economy, but because they are just like us, people who want to live life like we all do.
