LAST SURF

by Ivan Timoshenko

Dave is as tall as Tower in Gladiators. He is all muscles. He is ready when the time comes, to go out there and give it all he's got. He's got green eyes and sharp eye sight. His hands have a grip like a bulldog's mouth, once his grip is on, nothing can make him lose the grip. He looks like a perfect killing machine. When he is in the game he is all at it.

He looks like the only thing he does is kill people, but that is not true. He has a soft nice personality, but a strong, loud, deep voice.

When he woke up he went to the kitchen to have his breakfast. He watched T.V. while he ate. He went to the gym to work out, then out onto the beach for a jog. After 30 minutes jogging, he went surfing, far out into the ocean. The waves were big and he was getting tired. A wave hit him on the back, he fell into the water. He would have drowned if it wasn't for the rope that was tied to his leg and to the surfboard. He climbed up and just lay there.

He was lying in pain, his hands hurt a lot. "I can't be dead, because it hurts too much", Dave said to himself. The only thing that he felt from his legs was an enormous pain. Dave felt like someone was putting needles into his body.

The tide was going out of the lagoon. Soon he was out in the open ocean. The waves were getting bigger and bigger. The wave overturned the surfboard. Dave began to sink. His leg slipped out of the rope. He was going deeper and deeper. He felt something under his back. He wanted to turn his head around, but he could no longer move. The pressure was too high. Dave's ears and eyes hurt. He lost consciousness. Dave's body was going down.

When they reached his body they looked and turned it over and over. They saw that Dave had no fangs or claws, so they grabbed him and dragged him down. The four of them swam to the very bottom of the sea. It was the under water city. It was huge. There were lights everywhere, buildings of all shapes, all sizes, they were round, square and oval, all shapes that you could and couldn't think of. A glass tube went from house to house. Two men dragged Dave. One of them was old and weak in the hands, but he moved through the water quite freely. The other one was strong and young. He moved through the water quickly and swiftly. Behind them followed a young girl. She was not strong, but she was very handsome and she moved through the water like a bird through air.

The three under water creatures took Dave into a huge building.

He heard an old deep voice say,"He is not one of us"."
"How do you know?" asked a younger softer, higher voice.
"He has no gills," said an old voice.
"Then who is he? I have never seen an animal like that in the water," replied a middle aged male voice.
"He might be one of those who live on land and look like us," said the voice.

Dave could still hear the strange voices as he moved through the water. "He might be their spy," said a new voice, "he must not live!!! Guards take him!!!"
