In a dream that I have had

a scary man had made me sad

He said that I spoke, ‘I done and I seen’

The man tried not to be so mean

He spoke as if he had no clue

of what to say and what to do

He looked at me with his blue eyes

and so it came to my surprise

I thought we would play a little game

each second word had to sound the same

So I began to talk and play

but I realised I had nothing to say

I thought of a game that was more fun

you couldn’t say, ‘I seen or I done’

If you say it right, ‘I have done and I have seen’

then you get to eat a Jelly Bean

I woke up and washed my face

got something to eat then said grace

Now I know I can’t say, ‘I seen or I done’

but if I do I will bite my tongue.
