Year 8's have investigated the proportion of different colours in a packet of M&M's and compared our results to those found in other countries.
Year 8's have calculated the mean, median and mode for the first names of students in their class and compared them with the results from a class in Springfield, Illinois.
As one of 24 classes selected worldwide, 8B researched mathematicians and scientists in order to take part in a competition to identify famous mathematicians and scientists from clues provided by the competing schools.
Our students have attempted to solve the problems provided by students in a school in Vermont, USA. They assess our work and provide suggestions for improvement.
