Paul has changed his Computer Science course to part-time because he has started his own business. With three others, he has taken on work for Myer Grace Bros. and National Australia Bank, and is involved in the Federation Square and Sydney Opera House projects.His company, Luminosity, takes architects plans, puts them on computer, and then tests various lighting configurations. A 3-D model is created on the computer and then you can "walk through" and see the effects of the lighting. Paul's company is the only one in Australia doing this type of work.
Paul showed considerable computer expertise when he was at Banksia. Mr. Batty relied on him to maintain the IBM's, and when he did work experience in Year 10, the company he was working for immediately offered him part-time work producing their advertising brochures.
Paul stays in touch by visiting the school's homepage on the Internet. He is one of many past students who have achieved considerable success in study and work since leaving Banksia.
