Day and night huge whale trawlers come into port with whale carcasses, the stench is enough to make someone sick and the sight of the blood and the bodies is disgusting.

A company called 'Whales R Us' slaughter a 100 balleen, minke and other whales they can find each week. They have been watching the mother and baby for the past two weeks. I think they are waiting for the baby to mature a bit more, before they murder it.

The baby is happily frolicking in the water while the mother balleen whale playfully nudges her. It's a beautiful sight to see, a huge whale's fluke comes out of the water, then splashed down again, the baby tries to mimic her mother, but nearly topples over in the water.

The trawler is coming nearer, the men are setting up the harpoon, they are opening up the back of the trawler, in there lies the huge meat grinder.

The poor mother has been harpooned in the back, the men are slowly bringing her in. The baby is nudging its mother and letting out cries for help.

It's done. The poor mother has been killed. Blood, tonnes of blood, is pouring down the back of the trawler. It is starting to move away. The little calf is circling the blood and following the trawler. Now the poor baby, day after day is still looking for its mother who is no longer there.

It's a shame you can no longer see the mother and baby frolicking happily in the water.
