SPRING....! Supposedly the most beautiful season! The start of new life. Everything is blossoming, the birds are singing, rivers are flowing and the trees are coming back to life. You wouldn't be blamed for thinking that spring is a time of life, but for some spring is considered as a time of difficulty, possibly even death.
Death.....! Strange but how true!
Usually after a long winter in the shelter of coldness, war starts again. It just blossoms like everything else, you could say it starts living in the spirit of spring, it just gets a feeling of 'life' again. How ironic that death could get a wonderful feeling of life.
After a winter, using supplies that were collected so one could live through cold times, everyone is looking for a new season of life or maybe 'death'. You never know your time!
War does not know any rules of neutrality, it goes a long way to breach them. But I guess if you had to pick a time of year that signifies death, you would say winter. During winter everything stops, not even crazy people who are willing to kill each other for God knows what reason, are keen to go out and shoot at each other. Winter is a bit harder and a bit colder, also food supplies are lower. People survive, not many of them die in the cold winter.
Bullets most certainly start flying when the spring begins. It is just amazing to see what kind of influence the wonderful time of new life has on everyone. Certainly it shows as soon as Mother Nature gives them new life, a fresh start to everything. Our warriors are out there with their big guns, start trying desperately to destroy everything new and fresh. Fighters have no heart, everything in their minds is black, and if anything else shows any other colours they are more than willing to kill it off.
"Different is not like us, so kill if off."
"Killing everything that there is" is war's way. And sometimes it seems God is on the aggressors side as well. God gives them time to kill. He gives them the spring to destroy things and if they don't finish the job they have summer and atom bombs to do it properly.
During war no one is on your side, even God and Mother Nature give up on you so that you are left to do it on your own, with people who are stuck in the same boat with you. But the human spirit can do big things and it will fight Mother Nature and everything else. It is not like in the movies where good always wins over evil. I promise you that evil will keep on fighting forever.
So next time you are sitting outside admiring the beautiful things that God gave you, just take a moment and think about all the people who are not fortunate enough to enjoy all the things that you have and who are struggling to survive during spring.
